I need some people to study. Spike was not the first(That honor goes to Mr. Scorsese) but so far he's been the most interesting. This book and his films of course are mostly why. This is a must read for any film maker fresh into the game like me. It tells a story that I could so easy identify with (because Im going through a lot of it) that It made me gain a whole new respect for Mr. Shelton Jackson Lee, not only as a fellow black film maker but as another human that decided to start the rat race of film making.
I caught it cheep on Amazon for under $10, it's well worth the read if you want to be inspired to get your film done by any and all means.
